Creative Writing Workshops 2025
Sleuths, Secrets and Symbols

KS2 workshops 15 - 19 September 2025 at Torre Abbey
Full day workshops 10am to 2.30pm
A special opportunity for primary schools in Torbay, brought to you by The Agatha Christie Festival in partnership with The Writers’ Block and Torre Abbey.
There is a mystery to be solved at Torre Abbey. Strange symbols mark a trail from deep below the undercroft, weaving out into the dark ruins and mysterious gardens. What secrets could they unfold? What mysteries will they uncover? We love a good mystery at the Agatha Christie Festival. Join us for a day of creative writing to kick start your term. Let your imagination run riot as you uncover ideas for a spellbinding story. Follow in the footsteps of Agatha Christie’s sleuths and embark on a fun-packed day of creativity, exploring ideas for settings, character and plot – guided by Sarah Connors and Polly Roberts from The Writers’ Block – the writing centre for Cornwall.
