You’re invited to join us at this exclusive event Agatha after Hours exclusive event at Greenway, as part of the Agatha Christie Festival celebrations.

Known as the Queen of Crime, Dame of English Literature and Mrs Mallowan, Agatha’s literary legacy has had a lasting impact on the world of fiction and crime.

In 1938 Agatha bought Greenway as a holiday home, 18 years after publishing her first crime novel and the birth of her most famous detective Hercule Poirot. Born and raised in Torquay, Agatha returned to her roots, fashioning a family residence to spend time away from the limelight for the next 62 years.

On this special evening event, journey through her life on two curated guided tours, the only home of Agathas which is open to the public with a globally renowned family collection.

It is a chance to get up close with Agatha’s items in the National Trust’s collection, with pieces not on display to the public including personal effects, signed first editions and objects that inspired her books. The evening will include a drinks reception and tour concluding with all guests gathering for the 'dénouement' - the end of Agatha's story.
