Visit All Saints’ Church in Torre where Agatha Christie was baptised.
For this very special morning, join us for coffee/tea and cake and a chance to see the actual marble font where Agatha Mary Clarissa Miller was baptised on Thursday 20 November 1890.
You will be able to sit on the family pew, explore this beautiful Anglo Catholic Church and meet Father Peter.
You will also be able to view the blue plaque that was unveiled during last year’s Agatha Christie Festival on 14th September, 2025.
Festival Director, Matt Newbury will lead a 20-minute optional circular walk, past the vicarage where Agatha was given ecclesiastical advice for her books, including Murder at the Vicarage. We will also pass the Greek Orthodox Church of St Andrew’s (formally St Saviour’s Church) where Agatha was a bridesmaid at her sister Madge’s wedding.
Following the walk, coffee/tea and cake will be served in the hall at All Saints’ Church.
Please note, ticket price includes a donation to the church.
