Beautifully situated adjacent to Torquay’s marina, with spectacular views out to the Bay. Pier Point has been lovingly given a new lease of life. In 2020 we cemented our love of the location by becoming the new owners taking the restaurant on an exciting new chapter.

Closing Event: Death Comes as the End
With Ragnar Jónasson and Kelly Mullen

Join us for our fabulous closing event to this year’s Festival. Our final panel event will be followed by a fun and traitorous murder game all against the backdrop of the beautiful Bay at sunset.
Our panel sees crime writers Ragnar Jónasson and Kelly Mullen discussing their work and inspiration. Ragnar’s latest novel, The Mysterious Case of the Missing Crime Writer, is a Golden Age inspired mystery about a bestselling author who vanishes. It is due to be published in August. This is Not a Game is Kelly’s much-anticipated debut novel and is a locked-room mystery featuring a grandmother and granddaughter sleuthing duo. It was published in April.
Following the panel discussion, there will be a fun Traitors-inspired* game to enjoy. Take part as a team or individually but make sure you are ready for secrets, skullduggery, banishment and betrayal!
Pier Point restaurant is located overlooking the Bay, at the start of the pier where Agatha Christie used to go roller skating. Their fish and chips are award winning so we are delighted to be able to include a light bite cod and chips (or veggie/vegan alternative) and a welcome glass of prosecco in the ticket price.
It will be a wonderful, fun and friendly end to our 2025 Festival and we look forward to welcoming you.
