The Aubergines Family Orchestra led by Hugh Nankivell and Emma Welton have been exploring Agatha Christie’s ’The Thirteen Problems’ in music and are making a collection of musical problems for an audience to solve. These will include new songs, conducting and a wonderful array of instruments and sounds.
This special event will preview a new concert of songs to be premiered at the International Agatha Christie Festival 2019.
Trio Of Men (Steve Sowden, Ben Ballard and Hugh Nankivell) make instant songs using any ideas and all ideas, and will create new songs on the day alongside other Agatha-related songs from their illustrious back-catalogue.
The Aubergines are the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s Family Orchestra in collaboration with Exeter University. Based in many venues across the BSO’s region, from community centers to church halls, the Family Orchestras give the chance for new musicians, and rusty ones alike, to work together, play together and create brand new pieces of music from scratch. Inclusivity is key, and the Orchestras are open to everyone: any instrument, any standard, any age welcome!
Trio Of Men are creative municipal song-makers from South Devon group play festivals creating instant songs (WOMAD, End of the Road etc), work on scientific and historical projects and were the musicians-in-residence for the International Agatha Christie Festival in 2017.
